Home Made Tripod Test With Miracle Antenna & FT-817 - Video

Despite freezing those parts that don't like freezing off, I managed to try out the latest metal work project. Due to the cold I was in Test mode which was short and sweet as seen in the video.

Hi Simon -

I've been reading your blog with interest, and it partly inspired me to start up my own ham radio blog. I thought you might like to take a look: http://kj6akq.nerdnetworks.org/

I've just built an IOio antenna, in part thanks to one of your posts about them, and so far it's working fantastically well for receiving. Haven't got the transmit elements of it hooked up yet, but I hope to finish that soon.

Maybe once I get my full HF setup constructed we can have a QSO.

Hi Owen,

Thank you very much for the comment, I visited your blog and enjoyed it very much as I expect many other will do also.

Great to hear about your experiments with the IOIo, sounds like your well sorted out, keep on playing around it will be well worth it!

It would be a pleasure making qso one day, in the meantime happy blogging and all the best with the Satellites and the rest of the hobby.
